Golmaal Again’s Maine Tujhko Dekha or Ishq’s Neend Churayi Meri – which version of Ajay Devgn’s song do you like the best?

The makers of Diwali’s expected blockbuster Golmaal Again have released the second song of the movie, Maine Tujhko Dekha. On the face of it, the song looks like a simple romantic number. But when you hear it you realise that it is a reworked version of Neend Churayi Meri song from 1997 movie Ishq. Reworking old songs from the ’90s, ’80s and the ’70s has been a favourite trend of Bollywood these days, with some clicking with the audience like Badrinath Ki Dulhania’s Tamma Tamma, or getting a lot of hatred, like OK Jaanu’s version of Humma Humma.

Coming to the Golmaal Again song, it is composed by Amaal Mallik using his uncle Anu Malik’s original tune, while Neeraj Sridhar (have heard him after a long time) and Sukriti Kakar have sung this. Though the music is similar to the original, the lines have changed courtesy Kumaar. The song is picturised on Ajay Devgn and Parineeti Chopra, with Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Shreyas Talpade playing cheerleaders to their love. No matter how many jokes Arshad Warsi makes on the age difference between Ajay Devgn and Parineeti Chopra, they actually look quite odd as a pair. And this will definitely come very odd in the movie, since Tabu is also a part of it, and she has been Ajay’s heroine in quite a few movies in the ’90s. Here’s the song…

Now let’s talk about the original song, Neend Churayi Meri from the movie Ishq. A two-decade younger Ajay Devgn is seen dancing with his future wife Kajol, and he has the company of Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla. Here’s the song…

So people, which version you liked the best? The Golmaal Again Track or the original? Vote and let us know…
