On his TV show, Kapil Sharma is shown as a man having trouble with Angrezi. He cannot speak the language but it is different in real life. We know that Kapil speaks English fluently and is quite articulate too. However, his second feature film Firangi is a comic take on colonialism. We see a khakhi clad Kapil Sharma kicking the butt of an English man. Buzz is that the story is a rom-com set during the times of the English. In the film, he is in love with a desi girl who becomes vidheshi after a trip abroad. In the mean time, another girl is madly in love with Kapil’s character. Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill are part of the film as his leading ladies. (Also Read: Firangi motion poster: Kapil Sharma starrer postponed; to release on November 24, 2017 now)

The film is releasing on November 24 and the trailer is out on October 24. It is directed by Kapil’s long-time buddy and ace Punjabi director Rajiv Dhingra. He has made successful films like Love Punjab and Angrej in the past. Given the nationalistic mood in the country, we are sure that Firangi will find some resonance. The actor has taken a break from The Kapil Sharma Show to promote the film. This happened after the comedian’s health went for a toss after simultaneously shooting for his show and Firangi. Now, his energies are on the film.
Firangi has been shot largely in Punjab and Rajasthan. The comedian also lost a lot of weight for the film. Stay tuned to BL for more scoop and updates…
