So, putting all rumours and speculations to an end, Akshay Kumar has himself clarified that he has NOT been approached to host Bigg Boss. Once again. Akshay Kumar is NOT replacing Salman Khan, who has been the host of the reality show for past 7 he years.
Anyway the rumours of Akshay replacing Salman as the host were too far fetched. But you never know how the industry works, tables can turn overnight. But now we know for sure that Salman will continue hosting the popular reality show. In fact the actor has returned from Morocco, where he was shooting for Tiger Zinda Hai, and will shoot for the first Bigg Boss promo sometime this week. Akshay was talking to the media today to promote his film Toilet Ek Prem Katha, when he was bombarded with questions ranging from Bigg Boss to his upcoming films like Gold and Crack. Though short, his answers were satisfying. To the point, to say the least. When asked about the rumour about him replacing Salman Khan as the host for Bigg Boss, he denied that he has been approached by the channel and show runners at all.
Bigg Boss will soon kick start its 11th season. And yep, we are reiterating – Salman Khan is hosting the show. After the success of last season’s format – inclusion of commoners with celebs as contestants – show runners are following it this time around as well. The auditions for selecting the commoners have been going on in full swing. Amongst the celebs, names like Dhinchaak Pooja, Nia Sharma are doing the rounds.
Talking about Toilet Ek Prem Katha, the movie is set to release on August 14. It stars Bhumi Pednekar and Amnupam Kher in key roles, and the plot revolves around lack of toilets in rural areas of India. The movie has generated a good buzz, and is likely to have a good opening day.
